Overview

Mount Sabalan stands at an elevation of 4,811 metres (15,784 feet), making it Iran’s third-highest peak. Situated in the Alborz mountain range, it holds a special place in the hearts of the people of Ardebil, who affectionately refer to it as Sultan Savalan, meaning “Sabalan, the Emperor”. According to the legends this sacred mountain was the site where the ancient Persian prophet, Zoroaster, received a divine revelation. Some even believe that Zoroaster’s final resting place lies near the mesmerizing Crater Lake atop. Considering Sabalan as a pilgrimage site is still a common belief among locals as they swear to this mountain. The spiritual aura surrounding Sabalan adds to its allure and captivates the hearts of native and non-native mountaineers alike.

Day 01 :

Welcome to the Tabriz

Arrival at Tabriz airport, overnight in 4 stars

Day 02 :

Tabriz to Shabil

After breakfast transfer to Meshkinshahr (about 3 hours ) subsequently arrive to the Lahroud town and will continue to the Shabil. Drive to a place that nomads live there.

Day 03 :

Sabalan north east base camp

After breakfast, transfer equipments with 4wd vehicles to the Sabalan basecamp shelter. we will start hiking from Shabil to the shelter in 3700 meters for better acclimatization. then start to climb from shelter for 2 hours for full acclimatization.

Day 04 :

summit day

Wake up early in the morning, have low breakfast and start to climb the Sabalan summit. (we will reach the summit approximately 5 hours after starting to climb).

descent to the shelter and return to the Shabil with 4WD vehicles. short visit from Shirvan valley, there is a beautiful and fantastic view, strechable and rocky cliffs, overnight in lodge

Day 05 :

Hot springs of Sarein

After breakfast, drive to Sarein. Enjoy Spa and Famous hot springs of this beautiful city. stay overnight at 4 stars hotel.

Day 06 :

Last day

After breakfast transfer to the Tabriz. visit Grand Bazaar of Tabriz( World biggest roofed bazaar), Elgoli Park and Laleh AVM.

Transfer to the Airport and hope to see you again in Iran.
